Hoi An used to be an international trade center in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was the busiest trading port in the Dang Trong region of Vietnam during the reign of Nguyen as merchants from Japan, China, Portugal, Spain, and Holland often stopped there to exchange and purchase commodities. Hoi An was known by foreign merchants as Faifo, Haisfo or Hoai Pho. Hoi An was also an important meeting place of many cultures, such as Champa, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese, and has been greatly influenced by Vietnamese and Chinese civilisation.
Da Nang delivers the buzz of a bigger city with beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Tree-lined boulevards, bridges, and beachside resorts are now attracting more and more tourists. Coming to Da Nang, visitors will have the opportunity to visit famous picturesque spots such as Ba Na Mountain, Marble Mountains, Hai Van Pass, Son Tra Peninsula. It is definitely a delight to swim in the clear waters of the beautiful white-sand beaches that stretch for tens of kilometers.
Quang Binh is famous for its charming landscapes of mountains and sea. The coast is dotted with blue water and yellow sand beaches that sparkle under forests of green willow trees. Every year, Quang Binh attracts many visitors coming to see the interesting landscapes such as Phong Nha, Tien Son caves, primitive forest in Phong Nha - Ke Bang reserve, Nhat Le and Da Nhay beaches, Bang Mineral Hot Spring, etc. Among them, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has been recognized as the World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003.
Hue is a city in central Vietnam that was the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors and was also the national capital from 1802–1945. A major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines, the Forbidden Purple City, once the emperor’s home and a replica of the Royal Theater.
Hue is well known for its historic monuments, which have earned it a place in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. The seat of the Nguyen emperors was the Imperial City, which occupies a large, walled area on the north side of the Perfume River. Inside the citadel was a forbidden city where only the emperors, concubines, and those close enough to them were granted access; the punishment for trespassing was death. Today, little of the Forbidden City remains, though reconstruction efforts are in progress to maintain it as a historic tourist attraction.
HO CHI MINH CITY
Formerly known (and often still referred to) as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is a thriving metropolis and Vietnam’s center of commerce. This fast-paced city is always alive with the swarm and sounds of motorbikes zooming along tree-lined avenues. With the influx of foreign investments a fine-living vibe has descended on the city and can be seen in the number of fine restaurants, glitzy bars, and luxury shops that have sprung up in recent years. With a plentiful choice for a fun day will never be without a unique experience while visiting HCMC .
