After breakfast, get ready to take a tour around the city founded by the Great Macedonian Emperor. Early in the morning your guide will pick you up from hotel in Cairo to drive you to Alexandria by a private air- conditioned vehicle. First, you will be taken to see Pompey’s Pillar, Roman triumphal column, which is among world’s largest monolithic columns. You will than head to the rock-carved Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. After lunch you will visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in the 15th century on the exact place of ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The next stop will be at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which houses millions of books in its six specialized libraries. In the evening, you will return to your hotel in Cairo. After breakfast, we explore the Giza Plateau, your chance to personally stand where the Ancient Egyptians stood thousands of years ago, next to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that still exists. We finish our visit to the plateau with the Guardian Angel of the area, the monolithic and iconic Sphinx. Lunch will be served with a spectacular view of the Pyramids. The day is not over yet, we will experience the crazy Cairo traffic as we drive into downtown Cairo and Tahrir Square, scene of the 2011 revolution and location of the Egyptian Museum. The current Egyptian Museum was built before the discovery of the treasures of King Tutankhamen and his famous solid gold funerary mask so it is overflowing with ancient artefacts and would take many, many visits to see in its entirety so we highlight the best of the best. Having breakfast before visiting the West Bank, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings. Next, we'll visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom for the Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. After breakfast, drive north to visit Jerash, which remains today as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Graeco-Roman cities. A close second to Petra on the list of favourite destinations in Jordan, the ancient city of Jerash boasts a history of human occupation dating back to more than 6 500 years. Excavations made it possible to update two theatres, several temples, churches, a market, thermal baths, and the famous Cardo Maximus alley of 600 meters bordered columns, proceed north to Ajlun situated in the northern region of Jordan to visit Ajlun’s Castle. The ancient Nabatean city of Petra was recently voted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In 1985 Petra was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin your visit by enjoying a walk or a short horse ride from Petra’s main entrance to the entrance of the old city “Al Siq”. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and greatest monument of Petra slowly comes into view. This is the famous Treasury monument “Al Khazneh”. Indulge yourself and walk through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place examining every detail in sight, after the visit of Petra, Drive to visit Madaba “the City of Mosaics”. Visit the Greek Orthodox church of St. George where the famous 6th Century Byzantine mosaic map of the holy sites in the biblical world is found. Proceed to Mount Nebo, the place where it is believed that Moses was buried, after the visits, drive back to Amman for dinner and overnight Full Board..
